The Brand Park Beautification Committee will host one more summer concert Sunday at the park off Maple Avenue in Elmira.
The concert from 3 to 5 p.m. will feature the band Swing Street, which offers a big band sound.
The Swing Street concert was rescheduled from an earlier date because of a rain-out. This is the final event of the Brand Park Summer Concert series.

Music, dancing, friends, family, food and ice cream…what a way to spend Sunday afternoons at the Brand Park bandstand on Elmira’s Southside at one of the weekly concerts. They are sponsored by the Brand Park Beautification Committee, developed 9 years ago, as well as local merchants such as Elmira Savings Bank and the YMCA.
Harold Watts, or “Pinky”, is the President of the Brand Park Beautification Committee, and spent at least 5 years working toward the development of the pavilion, which now houses the entertainment. Winnie Watts is the
Chairperson in charge of the concerts and has put together a great summer schedule of entertainment! The committee is currently working toward a new walkway with pavilion for the park which will be funded by the committee, city grants and community development.
August 23rd is the Olde Tyme Summer Festival, an all day event featuring Antiques, Classic Car Show, Crafts, various displays and more. Donal O’Shaughnessy, irish band, will play from 11-2 and the Rock-A-Billy-Rays from 2-5. This is a family fun packed event, don’t miss it!
So, Sunday afternoons bring a lawn chair and your dancing shoes to see local bands such as Swing Street, Steve Southworth and the Rock-A-Billy Rays, Autumn Wind, Sgro Brothers, and T and the Goodtimers entertain families and friends. Concerts are from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Looks like you got pictures of the oldest Concert listener and the youngest. There must be a story to tell there.
